Valentine’s Day: Seattle events in Pioneer Square, Pike Place Market

Plan a downtown Seattle excursion, and don't forget your camera!

Valentine’s Day 2021: Looking for something for your family to do this weekend around Seattle with a Valentine’s Day flavor?

Here are a few ideas.

Remember to wear masks, practice social distancing — and check the weather for potential snow!

Pioneer Square

For something different, visit Seattle’s Pioneer Square neighborhood, where there is always lots to see.

Look for the new Holding Hope statue (seen at left) and the Valentine’s Day Ice Sculpture (above). Perfect selfie backdrops, and there could be prizes involved.

In addition, The Downtown Seattle Association will make a $10 donation to the Pike Place Market Foundation for each of up to 500 social posts (Instagram, Twitter or Facebook) of photos with the Holding Hope statue and hashtag #HoldingHopeSeattle.

More information here on the Passport to Pioneer Square program.

Pike Place Market

Support local businesses and get gift ideas (and flowers!) with a visit to Pike Place Market.

The “Love in the Market” promotion runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Spend $50 or more and get a Valentine’s Day cookie-decorating kit from the Market’s Atrium Kitchen. (If you spend $75, you get an insulated Market shopping bag, too.)
