Come explore the new Kirke Park in North Seattle at the free grand opening celebration on Saturday, Aug. 11, from 10 a.m. to noon and enjoy music by Pasquale Santos with food and family fun. The park is located at 7028 9th Ave. N.W.
The construction fences came down on July 19, and the park has been an instant hit in the neighborhood as kids scramble over the playground at the south end and P-Patchers have started preparing the gardens at the north end.
