Celebrate the one-year anniversary of NASA’s Mars explorers while learning about their work on the Red Planet during a weekend of special activities Feb. 18-20, 2022, at the Museum of Flight.
Perseverance rover and Ingenuity helicopter landed on Mars on Feb. 18, 2021. Full-scale NASA mock-ups of the two robotic explorers can be seen at the museum, and they will be the focal point of the weekend fun.
Family activities on Saturday and Sunday (Feb. 19-20) include planetarium shows, hands-on activities (including science projects), Percy (short for Perseverance) buttons and NASA talks — including a chance to ask questions! There also will be take-home activity packets.

One of North America’s largest displays of scale models will be at the Museum of Flight on Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 19-20, 2022.
The 2022 NorthWest Scale Modelers Show will include hundreds of model aircraft, spacecraft, cars, tanks, ships and figures.
depicting the glorious diversity of transportation design during the last 120 years. The event surrounds the infamous Blackbird spyplane and is free with admission to the Museum.
The emphasis is on aviation and other transportation design from the past 120 years. However, the world of sci-fi also will be represented with several creations.
Expert modelers will be on hand to share their craft and tricks of the trade.
