Seattle Parks and Recreation invites the community to the third and final public meeting for the Mount Baker Play Area renovation project. The open house will be held Thursday, Oct. 2, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Mount Baker Park, 2521 Lake Park Dr. S., near the play area.
At this meeting, the Parks landscape architect and planner for the project will present the preferred design for the play area and gather community feedback on the final features for the renovation. In the case of inclement weather the meeting will be held at the Mount Baker Community Clubhouse, 2811 Mt. Rainier Dr. S.
The renovation project will replace play equipment, provide access improvements and improve other features at the park. The project also brings the play area into compliance with current play area safety standards and meets the requirement of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). For more information about the project and notes from previous meetings, visit www.seattle.gov/parks/projects/mt_baker. Funding for this park improvement is provided by the King County 2013 Park Levy.
