The Washington State Fair has added two new discount packages this year: the Sounder Train Fair Express and the Three-Day Pass. Both are available in advance online for the Sept. 5 through 21 State Fair at www.thefair.com.
The Sounder Train Fair Express Pack lets you skip the traffic and parking fees and enjoy riding the Sounder Train to the fair on Saturdays Sept. 13 and 20. This advance package saves you 25 percent and includes the round-trip Sounder fare and fair admission. For North King and Snohomish County residents, the cost is $16 for adults and $11.25 for students ages 6 to 18 years; for South King County residents, the cost is $14.50 for adults and $10.25 for students ages 6 to 18 years.
As for the Three-Day Pass, purchase two days of gate admission for $20 and receive a third day free. This is valid for a single guest only and is exclusively available in advance online at www.thefair.com.
