I’m sure there are some people who enjoy hanging holiday lights. I don’t know any of them, but I’m sure there are some. There are more people out there who love looking at holiday lights, but it’s too late, or too rainy, or they’re too tired to hang their own. Thankfully, there’s Garden D’Lights. From now through Jan. 3, a half-million lights will blaze in the Bellevue Botanical Garden, transforming it into a magical winter wonderland. Hundreds of volunteers worked thousands of hours to build and string their creations; a stroll through the display along the gravel-strewn paths takes about 45 minutes. Holiday crowds will slow things down, so allow for extra time. Maps can be collected at the entrance, and kids will love the challenge of the scavenger-hunt-style game. Buy your tickets online to avoid a line at the door, bundle up for the weather, lace up your walking shoes, dust off your holiday spirit and prepare to be dazzled. gardendlights.org
