U-Village hosts Playdays for kids at 10 am on Tuesdays, with different stores presenting a game, storytime or activity every week. Today, it's kid clothing store Peek, located conveniently close to the outdoor mall's covered play area. If you need some liquid courage to get through a particularly busy day, there are four Starbucks a stone's throw from the play area.

It's also a good day to hit the zoo, with some sun and far fewer crowds packed in the lion pavilion on a Tuesday than on the weekend. Kids 8 and under can slide down a 20-foot tree at the Zoomasium, with a visit from a "furred, feathered or scaly" animal at 10:30 and a toddler dance party to "nature-themed" music scheduled for 11:30 a.m.
