The wonderful Oregon-based artist Carson Ellis speaks at Ravenna Third Place Books this evening. Ellis has illustrated a small army of childrens books, including Lemony Snicket's The Composer Is Dead and The Wildwood Chronicles, written by her husband and Decemberists frontman Colin Meloy. She's in town to promote her new book, Home. The chat starts at 7 pm sharp, so get the kids to bed early if you can.
