Back when we were kids, celebrating St. Patrick's Day meant wearing green to avoid getting pinched and maybe eating Irish stew for dinner. But these days, the merriment starts early and includes several family-friendly events. Kids can check out today's free Lucky Leprechaun Hunt at Magnuson Community Center. Children age 6-10 can trade in hidden gold coins for treats from 4:30-5:15 pm. Click here for more Seattle's Child-approved St. Pat's Day festivities.
And tonight from 7 to 8:30 at Romp in Bellevue, you can learn about how prioritizing play for kids 1 to 5 is important for emotional, physical, social, cognitive and academic growth. Ticket info and details about the event from Art of Education is here.
