Egg hunt season is upon us! We are fans of the easygoing egg hunts at Kruckeberg Botanic Garden, happening today and next weekend during open hours, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. It’s ideal for kids who are overwhelmed by traditional frenzy-style hunts, plus everyone gets to enjoy a nice day in the lovely surroundings. The event is free, although donations are appreciated.

Kids ages 10 and older and their parents are invited to a free talk at 3 p.m. at the Mercer Island Stroum Jewish Community Center called Eat Well to Play Well.  You’ll get great advice from cookbook author Cynthia Lair, plus Dan Shapiro, the strength and conditioning coach for the University of Washington basketball team.
