Petpalooza and a puppet show

It’s all about pets and the people who love them at Petpalooza in Auburn today. Count on lots of animal performers and demonstrations, pony rides, a petting zoo, a pet parade at noon, and more than 150 vendor booths. Leashed, licensed and well-behaved pets are welcome to come join the fun.

It’s your last weekend to catch What the Moon Saw, a puppet show that blends together the Hans Christian Andersen stories of The Ugly Duckling and Thumbelina. It’s an original show in the ultra-unique setting of the Northwest Puppet Center, an old church-turned-theater dedicated to the art of puppetry. Bonus: there’s a little playground out front where kids can burn off energy before or after the show.
