The Langston Hughes Performing Arts Institute is partnering with Seattle Parks & Rec to put on their Teen Summer Musical Extravaganza, Snow White and the Seven: “Each One, Teach One.” This massive production – featuring eighty young performers in total – is set in both America and Africa, following the story of a Black girl in America hoping to connect with her African heritage.

The play, rehearsed at LHPAI, is an original production written by Seattle Parks & Rec staff member Isiah Anderson, Jr. with music by Seattle singer/songwriter Michelle Lang and choreography by Tyrone Crosby.

The play’s seven performances at the Seattle Repertory Theatre begin on August 20 and run twice daily (1 pm and 7 pm) through August 22. The final performance takes place on August 23 at 3 pm. Tickets are $8 for kids 12 and under and $10 for adults. Seattle Repertory Theatre, 155 Mercer St, Seattle, 98109
