Sample Tasty T-Town Treats

From fried dough to alligator tongue, you'll be able to find it all in T-Town at this year's Taste of Tacoma Food Festival.

If you're looking for a fun summer activity outside of Seattle, head down to T-Town for the Taste of Tacoma food festival the weekend of June 24-June 26.

Browse more than 40 local restaurant booths and food vendors serving up some of their best-loved dishes and products. Each participating restaurant will offer a featured item as well as a small "Just a Bite" portion, allowing you to try a little of everything. All of your kids' fairground favorites are available, from hot dogs and burgers to Fisher Fair Scones, as well as a variety of ethnic cuisine. In between bites, enjoy the live music, or watch some high-energy culinary showdowns between local chefs on the "Taste Cooks!" stage.

End the day with a Hawaiian shave ice and some rides at the Funtastic carnival, and your kids will be asking to come back every summer.

June 24-26: Friday & Saturday 11 am-9 pm, Sunday 11 am-8 pm. Point Defiance Park, 5400 N Pearl St., Tacoma, tasteoftacoma.com
