Summer at SAM: Family Festival, Sat July 23, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. FREE. Olympic Sculpture Park. It’s a day filled with family-friendly artist led activities, all-ages yoga, interactive art and a concert by local Kindie group Pig Snout! Lots of fun and beautiful views on a summer Saturday. The Great Inflatable Race, Sat July 23, 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. Lake Sammamish State Park

Kids 5 and older can take part in this unique 5K run interspersed with inflatable slides, bouncy houses and other fun obstacles. Ages 5 and older. Heats every 30 min. starting at 9 a.m. $40 to $75. The Great Inflatable Race.

Seattle Retro Gaming Expo, Sat-Sun July 23/24, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Seattle Center Exposition Hall.

West Seattle Grand Parade, Sat July 23 11 a.m. California Ave SW and SW Admiral Way to SW Edmunds St. FREE

Pirates and clowns and drill teams, oh my! And marching bands, floats, candy and more. Join the fun in West Seattle at this great Saturday event. Kids parade starts at 11 a.m., grand parade kicks off at 11:15 a.m. West Seattle Grand Parade.

Recess Monkey and the Board of Education Concert, Sun July 24, 11 a.m.- 2 p.m. the Hot Spot on Alaskan Way. FREE. Put on your dancing shoes, because these two popular Seattle Kindie bands are bringing their toe-tapping-est, get up and dancing-est music to the waterfront this Sunday. Shakespeare in the Park, The Merry Wives of Windsor, Sat July 23 7 p.m. and Cymbeline, Sun July 24 3 p.m. Lincoln Park. FREE

Two days of Shakespeare at Lincoln Park this weekend. Join Greenstage as they bring two classics to the stage. In The Merry Wives, Sir John Falstaff is short on cash and decides the best solution is to marry a rich woman. The problem is, the ladies figure out what he is up to. In Cymbeline, Imogen’s love is banished from the kingdom by her father, the King, which opens the door for her stepmother to try to force a marriage between her son and Imogen. Deception and treachery ensues as the characters scramble for a happy ending. BYO picnic and blanket and prepare to be entertained as only Shakespeare and Greenstage can do. Donations welcomed. Shakespeare in the Park.
