March Forth Fun Run Sat March 4, 9 a.m. Bathhouse Theater @ Green Lake
March 4th – It’s a day, it’s a command. Calling all band geeks to assemble at Green Lake for a great cause. Lace up your tennis shoes and get outside for a fun 10K, 5K or mini march for kids, serenaded by the super Sounders FC Sound Wave. All proceeds benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. (Green Lake). 

Morning Treats & Tweets Guided Bird Walk Sat March 4, 10 a.m.-12 p.m. Seward Park Audubon Center
Binoculars will be provided at this fun morning for beginning and intermediate birders. Join Naturalist Ed Dominguez for a casual birding experience kicked off with doughnuts and followed by an excursion into the park to learn about the feathered friends that call this area home. Great for kids ages 8 and older. Be sure to dress for the weather. $7.

Hanako & the Cherry Tree Sat/Sun March 4/5, 1 & 3 p.m. Sunset Hill Community Club
Thistle Theatre brings this classic Japanese tall tale to life this weekend, about a miser who turns into a cherry tree.  Told in the bunraku style of puppetry, the puppeteers appear on stage dressed head to toe in black. $10.

Science Fiction & Fantasy Celebration Sat March 4, 7-11 p.m. MoPOP
Join the fun at the 20th anniversary of the Science Fiction and Fantasy Hall of Fame and a new MoPOP gallery opening with special guests, live music, themed Bingo, a costume parade, science fiction trivia and more. Costumes encouraged. $22, $18 members, $15 ages 5 to 17. 

Bugs Bunny at the Symphony Sat March 4, 8 p.m. Benaroya Hall
Eh, what’s up Doc? Head to Benaroya this Saturday to see some of the most popular classic Looney Tunes clips featuring none other than Bugs Bunny himself, with the accompaniment of the Seattle Symphony as they play the original scores live. $41 to $101.

Salamander Search Sun Mar 5, 2-4 p.m. Camp Long
Did you know that three types of salamanders can be found at Camp Long, right here in West Seattle? Learn about the little amphibians and then locate where they live in the park. Great for ages 6 and older with an adult.
