Wintergrass Fri-Sun Feb 23-25, Hyatt Regency Hotel

Calling all music lovers – it’s Bluegrass fest at the Hyatt Regency Bellevue this weekend. Enjoy  concerts, dances, music jams, workshops, and kids’ workshops. Full schedule online. $20-$43, free ages 11 and younger.

 

Pacific Northwest Yo-Yo Championships Sat Feb 24, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Seattle Center Armory

Walk the dog, rock the baby and more at the Pacific Northwest Regional Yo-Yo Championships this Saturday. Preliminary qualifying events will happen in the Armory Lofts, championship divisions will be held on the Main Stage. Come to compete, or watch and learn. You can even take a beginner's class taught by top yo-yo players then show off your new tricks onstage! 

 

Saturday Morning Cartoons Sat Feb 24, 11 a.m. SIFF Cinema Uptown

Start your Saturday out right with a showing of fun family-friendly cartoons from around the world at the SIFF Cinema Uptown. Be sure to stay for a global post-show discussion. Coffee and Mighty-O donuts will be available for purchase. $10.

 

Back to the Block Sat Feb 24, 7-9 p.m. Langston Hughes Performing Arts Center

Immerse yourself in Seattle jazz for an evening at this family-friendly event. It’s a night of live music past and present, storytelling, steppin’ and tappin’. Tickets include hors d’ouevres and a complimentary beverage. $20.

 

Storybook Theater’s Pinocchio Sun Feb 25, 1 p.m. Hale’s Palladium

Storybook Theater brings this popular tale of the boy who wants to be real to stage this weekend at Hale’s Palladium. Come see if he can outwit his new devious friends and learn to tell the truth. Great for ages 3 and older. The show runs various dates and locations through March 10. $15.

 

Family Trivia Night Sun Feb 25, 7 p.m. Shelter Lounge

Bring the whole family to Shelter Lounge at Green Lake and take part in family trivia night. The theme changes every week – check online for details. $5.
