The Great Wallingford Wurst Festival

The best wurst is back again. Come to Wallingford for a fun weekend of delicious food, live music, bouncy houses, carnival games, craft vendors, a book sale, a dessert bar and much more.

Family Weekend Walk: Migrate? You’re Great!

Washington Park Arboretum. FREE

Head to the Arboretum and try to spy some birds in the sky using your eagle-eyes! With the help of a naturalist, you’ll scan the skies, watch the water, and peep past the plants in search of our feathered friends. You’ll learn where birds migrate in fall and how they accomplish such amazing journeys.

 

Superhero Family Activities

Wing Luke Museum. FREE

Bring your cape or just your inner super power and explore the "Wham! Bam! Pow!" exhibition, featuring the artwork of Vishavjit Singh (aka Sikh Captain America) then enjoy Superhero Jeopardy (11 to 11:30 a.m. and 1 to 1:30 p.m.), Superhero Haikus (11:30 a.m. to noon) and Superhero Madlibs (1;30 to 2 p.m.) 

 

"Corduroy"

Second Story Repertory, Redmond

Everyone’s favorite bear, Corduroy, is off on a delightfully destructive hunt through every section of the department store in search of his missing button. Will he find it? Head to Second Story Rep in Redmond this weekend to find out. This live theatrical performance is perfect for grade school aged children. Families with younger children are encouraged to attend the all-ages shows on Sundays. 1 and 3 p.m. Show runs weekends through Sept. 30. $12.

 

Cat Video Fest
1 p.m. Sat/Sun, Sept 22/23
SIFF Cinema Uptown

Award-winning local filmmaker Will Braden ("Henri le Chat Noir" creator and writer), has curated this amazing one-of-a-kind show.  The Internet Cat Video Festival features over 85 viral cat videos! Braden will emcee the weekend festivities including a cat costume contest, purrrfect giveaways, and special guests. $12. 1 p.m.
