Got a kid with an appetite for comics?
Carve out time for the Short Run Comix & Arts Festival, a locally organized event showcasing Seattle’s varied and creative comic-book scene. Young fans and doodlers can meet and learn from local authors and artists. Join a kids’ reading circle with children’s book author Jessixa Bagley, learn to draw comics with David Lasky, and enjoy demonstrations of animation, virtual reality and screen-printing.
11 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, at Seattle Center’s Fisher Pavilion and the Vera Project. Free.
