Local fifth graders have been studying Thornton Creek and Meadowbrook Pond, and today, everyone’s invited to get to know the area better during the community celebration. See which organisms live in the water, do a scavenger hunt, make art, and meet people with local environmental organizations. Bring a few bucks for the food truck!
Wanna venture out a bit? Today is prime ferry-riding weather, especially when you’re headed to Bainbridge Island’s Kids Discovery Museum (a.k.a. KiDiMu) 10th Birthday Bash. Admission is FREE today, plus you’ll be treated to performances from Recess Monkey, Roberto the Magnificent and Reptile Man, plus a whole bunch of fun, hands-on activities. And yes, there will be cake.
