City Council Conversation on Education March 23

Councilmembers are hosting this first of many public engagement opportunities to hear Seattleites’ priorities in education and how the levy renewals can support their goals.

Councilmembers M. Lorena González, Rob Johnson and Teresa Mosqueda will host a Council Conversation on Education this Friday, inviting education advocates, families, and students to share their vision for the future of education in Seattle.

As the City seeks to develop a renewal of the Families & Education Levy and the Seattle Preschool Program Levy, both of which expire this year, Councilmembers are hosting this first of many public engagement opportunities to hear Seattleites’ priorities in education and how the levy renewals can support their goals.

The forum will begin with panel presentations on early childhood education and K-12 education, followed by afternoon small group discussions to identify community opportunities and priorities.

Community members interested in attending are encouraged to RSVP to Vy Nguyen (vy.nguyen@seattle.gov). RSVPs encouraged, but not required.
