If you made a resolution to get outside more in 2017, here’s a great way to do it. Kids 7 and older and their caregivers can take part in a guided 2-mile hike along Rattlesnake and Christmas Lakes near North Bend, and learn how animals manage outside in the winter. No dogs or strollers. Pre-register. Cedar River Watershed Education Center (North Bend).

ArtVenture is held the second Sunday of every month and is a great way for families to play, learn, and create together. This Sunday explore Paul McCarthy’s work and discover how he transforms small objects into giant sculptures. Then work together to make your own unique, creative objects. The Henry Art Gallery is FREE 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. every Sunday.

All-You-Can-Eat Meatball Day comes just once a year and George has been waiting and waiting for that day. Last Meatball Day, George helped his friend, Chef Pisghetti, cook and serve delicious meatballs to the hungry crowd. But this year, the crowd had vanished! What could be keeping them away? Determined to help his friend, George goes on a mission to enter the Chef's meatballs in the world-famous Golden Meatball Contest in Rome. Come see if George can save the day. It’s the final weekend for outdoor ice skating in the city. Visit the region’s largest open-air ice skating experience, the Bellevue Magic Season Ice Arena, and take a spin around on the ice. Skate rental is included with admission and food and beverage concessions are available. $12, $9 ages 8 and younger, includes skate rental.

What could be better than building with bricks? Brick building with friends, of course. Head to the Madrona Branch of the Seattle Public Library this Sunday, for a fun afternoon of LEGOs. Great for all ages.
