Magic, LEGOs, Pinocchio, and more this weekend!

 

The I Hate Children Children’s Show Sat Feb 3, 1 & 3 p.m., Sun Feb 4, 1 p.m. Hale’s Palladium

Kids 8 and older will love this unique, interactive show. Come discover what the award-winning buzz is all about.  $14.50-24.50, $12.50-$17.50 ages 15 and younger. Show runs through Feb. 18.

 

Hora de Cuentes! (Spanish Story Time) Sat Feb 3, 2-2:30 p.m. Beacon Hill Branch of SPL. FREE

Head to Beacon Hill Library for a fun Spanish story time. All ages and language abilities are welcome at this free event. Registration not required.

 

StoryBook Theater’s Pinocchio Sat Feb 3, 3 p.m. Kirkland Performance Center

We all know the tale of the little wooden boy who yearns to be real. But can Pinocchio outwit his devious friends, learn from his mistakes and learn to tell the truth? Kids 3 and older will love this creative re-telling with a twist. Show runs through March 10. $15.

 

LEGO Mania Sun Feb 4, Douglass-Truth Branch of SPL. FREE

Everything is better when you work as a team! Come create with friends and LEGO bricks to make something super-fantastic from your own imagination. Great for all ages!

 

Tricky Crafty Camouflage Sun Feb 4, 2:30-3:30 p.m. Lewis Creek Park Visitor Center. FREE

Head to the Lewis Creek Park Visitor Center and learn how animals trick our eyes using different camouflage methods. Then head outside to test your spotting skills with a fun foraging quest! Great for children ages 5 to 10 with accompanying adult. Be sure to dress for the weather.

 

Sunday Public Sail Sun Feb 4, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. The Center for Wooden Boats. FREE

The Center for Wooden Boats is the place to be every Sunday. Take advantage of their free 45-minute rides on Lake Union and set sail on a beautiful, classic boat. You’ll see the city in a whole, new way! Sign-up for slots must happen in person, space is limited.
