Any family affected by autism spectrum disorder is invited to explore Pacific Science Center for a free morning visit closed to the general public. No heavy crowds, softened general lighting, decreased noise level and lower visual stimulation on interactive exhibits wherever possible. Fees for special exhibits.

Lake Hills Greenbelt Ranger Walk

Bring the whole family to the Lake Hills Greenbelt Ranger Station for a fun, ranger-led walk! This mild 1-mile hike will take you through the Greenbelt’s trails to discover the season’s myriad of flora and fauna. Wear weather-appropriate outdoor clothing and shoes, and BYO wildlife-viewing gear (e.g. binoculars or magnifying glasses). Event happens rain or shine.

Dance Fremont announces its 23rd season of wonderful Story Ballet. This family-friendly show is an engaging and tender retelling of the Hans Christian Andersen tale. The production includes the work of a number of local artists, and features talented young dancers from Dance Fremont. Tickets $25 for adults, $15 for children 12 and younger and seniors 65+

The Fremont Players take on this classic tale in a panto play for all ages. Meet Jack, his mom, the local farming community, an evil ogress and a scary giant. Will Jack have to sell Daisy the cow? Can the neighbor’s goose lay a golden egg? Can friends conquer evil? Come boo the villains and cheer for the heroes at an all-original production that includes the Fremont Philharmonic Orchestra. $16, seniors & Kids $8. Show runs various days/times through Jan 5.
