Truck Day and Walk-On 1K
Sat June 22 9 a.m.-noon
Bellevue College. FREE

Join Bright Horizons to raise money for their Foundation for Children at this fun-filled morning of vehicle exploration. Take part in a 1K walk around Parking lot 1A, climb in and on various vehicles and trucks, dance to live music by Brian Vogan and his Good Buddies, take part in car-themed craft activities, plus face painting, truck washing and more. Admission is free, donations welcomed.

Tacoma Highland Games 
Sat June 22 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
Frontier Park, 21718 Meridian Ave. E., Graham

Head to Frontier Park this Saturday for a fun and festive day celebrating all things Scottish. Try Scottish food, see Scottish crafts and visit Scottish goods vendors. There will be Celtic entertainment, kids’ activities, traditional Highland athletes, bagpipes and dancers. $15, $10 seniors, students and military with ID, free ages 5 and younger. Discount for online purchase.

 

Fremont Solstice Fair & Parade
Sat/Sun, June 22/23 10 a.m.-8 p.m.
Seattle's Fremont Neighborhood. FREE

Celebrate the solstice at this quirky annual festival. Live music, arts and crafts, street performers, kids’ art activities, art cars (wildly decorated cars), food and more. The unconventional Fremont Solstice Parade (FYI: many bikers clad only in full or partial body paint) is 1 p.m. Sat. Sunday includes a dog parade (2:30 p.m., $20 to participate). 

 

Rainbow Story Time

High Point Branch of SPL

Celebrate LGBTQ+ Pride month with a special all-ages story time at the High Point Library Branch!

We’ll be celebrating diverse families of birth and choice with songs, dancing, stories, and fun! Make pronoun buttons, a colorful rainbow craft, and check out great books with queer, trans, and gender-nonconforming themes. All are welcome!

 

Free Summer Concerts at Ballard Locks

Hiram M. Chittenden Locks. FREE

Enjoy free outdoor concerts every weekend through September 2nd at the Ballard Locks. BYO blanket or low-backed chair and a picnic. Saturday features Eastside Modern Jazz and Sunday, Cascadia Big Band will be performing. All performances at 2 p.m. unless otherwise noted.

 

"The Last World Octopus Wrestling Championship"

It’s a brand new pop-rock musical inspired by Seattle folklore. Come follow a young girl setting off for college, whose discovery of her mother's old trophy throws open the locked doors of the past. Soon, she must reckon with a world turned upside down — and the arrival of strange new abilities that seem to hint at a destiny beyond her wildest imagination. Show runs through July 28.
