This weekend is loaded with festivals: Seattle Pride, Japan Fair, and Dragon Fest. Also fun: superheroes, a nature hike, and a clown show!

Wetland Waddlers

Mercer Slough Environmental Education Center

Calling all preschoolers and their caregivers! Come and explore the Mercer Slough during a fun day of art, play and story time. This Saturday enjoy a day of SENSE-ations as you hear, see, feel, and even taste different things in the Slough. See the link below for a complete schedule. Pre-register. $20.

 

Japan Fair 2019

Head to Bellevue for this fantastic two-day event at the Meydenbauer Center celebrating Japanese art and culture. Formerly known as "Aki Matsuri", Japan Fair is a mix of musicians, artisans, community organizations and businesses from both Japan and the U.S.  Watch live performances on stage, visit hands-on exhibits, see cultural workshops, vendor booths and more.

 

Dragon Festival

Don’t miss amazing Lion and dragon dances in the ID this Saturday.  Then check out martial arts and taiko drumming demonstrations, drill teams, arts and crafts, delicious food and much, much more. 

 

ACE Comic Con

WAMU Theater

All your favorite superheroes will be at ACE Comic Con this weekend.  Don your favorite hero or villain gear and come meet Josh Brolin (Thanos / Cable), Zoe Saldana (Gamora / Neytiri / Lt. Uhura), Don Cheadle (War Machine), Lee Pace (Ronan / Thranduil), and Taron Egerton (Eggsy from Kingsman / Elton John) plus more than 60 world-renowned comic writers and artists, handpicked vendors and exhibitors, live panel programming and free children's activities. $55-$150, $5 for children ages 10 and younger.

 

45th Annual Pride Parade

Sun., June 30, 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
4th & Union to Denny Way

The annual Seattle Pride Parade is back and better than ever. Dig out your best costumes and join the fun as the parade snakes down 4th avenue from Union St. to Denny Way. This community-wide celebration advances awareness of LGBTQ issues and promotes mutual respect and equal human rights for all. Everyone is invited to join in on the fun.

 

Charles the Clown Performance & Video Taping

Children’s entertainer Charles The Clown is celebrating 12,000+ shows! He’s going to film a new video and is seeking audience members ages 4 to 8.
