American Heroes Airshow, Sat May 21 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Museum of Flight. Come early to watch helicopters land, then stay to learn about the role they play in law enforcement, fire service, homeland security and more. Outdoor activities are free. Admission applies for museum access. $20, $17 seniors and active military, $12 ages 5-17, free 4 and younger. American Heroes Airshow.

 

University District Street Fair, Sat May 21/Sun May 22. University Way NE between Campus Parkway and NE 50th St. The country's longest running street fair is big, back and better than ever. Come enjoy hundreds of craft and food booths plus entertainment stages, street performers, a kids' area with activities and much, much more. U District Street Fair.

 

Long Way North, Sat May 21. 11 a.m. AMC Pacific Place. Kids 6 and older will love this SIFF Films 4 Families animated movie about a 15 year old Russian aristocrat who sets off on a dangerous quest to the North Pole to find her explorer Grandfather and his ship. $8, $6 members. Long Way North.

 

SASS! SANCA's Annual Spring Showcase. May 20/21 7 p.m., May 21/22 3 p.m. For one weekend only you can be dazzled by amazing acrobatics, high-flying aerials, juggling and other super circus acts performed by SANCA students and international circus performers. $15, $10 12 and younger. Chihuly Garden & Glass Birthday Celebration, Sun May 22 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. Chihuly Garden at Seattle Center. It's birthday #4 for Chihuly Garden and they are celebrating with local friends Seattle Children's Museum, The Vera Project, The Gage Academy of Art and more. It's a day of art activities including drawing james, screen printing and seed planting just to name a few. Included with admission. $22, $19 seniors, $14 ages 5-12, free 4 and younger. Seattle Ice Cream Festival, Sun May 22 12 p.m. Chophouse Row on Cap Hill. FREE. We all scream for ice cream Kids and parents alike will love this 1st annual event featuring ice cream samples and scoops for sale from a dozen local craft ice cream makers like Molly Moon, Cupcake Royale, Gelatiamo, Bluebird, Full Tilt & more.
