Channel your inner Scandinavian and come enjoy a Nordic holiday marketplace at the Nordic Heritage Museum with craft booths, delicious food, traditional music and dance, a Santa sighting, and fun kids’ craft activities. $5, free for members and ages 12 and younger, $5 parking.
Kids Rock Series: Johnny Bregar Sat Nov 18, 10:30 a.m. Mt Baker Community Clubhouse
Kindie Rock is here to stay, Hurray! Head to the Mt. Baker Community Clubhouse for the next installation of The Kid’s Rock Concert Series. Local favorite family-friendly musician, Johnny Bregar will be rocking the house. Be sure to wear clothes for dancing. $15 for a family of up to four people.
Make Quilled Snowflakes Sat Nov 18, 2-4 p.m. Lake Forest Library. FREE
Enjoy a fun, seasonal craft taught by local artist Emily Mallory. Learn how to roll strips of paper and turn them into snowflakes, just in time for holiday decorating. Great for ages 10 and older.
Green Lake Gobble & Mashed Potato Munch Off Sun Nov 19, 8 a.m. Green Lake
Burn off the calories, then put them back on again at this fun, traditional event. Try a 10K, 5K or free Tiny Turkey Trot for ages 12 and younger, followed by mashed potato eating competition. 8 a.m. registration, 9:10 a.m. Tiny Turkey Trot, 9:30 a.m. 10K and 5K. $35 to $50, $10 kids dash. Canned food donations encouraged.
Piper’s Creek Salmon Celebration Sun Nov 19, 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Carkeek Park. FREE
The salmon are swimming! Come see chum and coho salmon return to Piper’s Creek at Carkeek Park, plus enjoy food, hot drinks, music, and fun activities throughout the park. Salmon Stewards are on hand and excited to answer questions.
