It’s a new musical adaptation of the popular children’s book, where the objects and characters jump off the pages, and the bunny’s bedroom comes to life. Join Second Story Rep for their Theater for Young Audiences Series and learn some new songs to sing. Families with younger children are encouraged to attend all-ages shows on Sundays. Town Hall Seattle presents Caspar Babypants Sun Oct. 1, 10:30 a.m. and 12 p.m. The Royal Room.
Local favorite Caspar Babypants (AKA Chris Ballew of the Grammy-nominated band The Presidents of the United States of America) is back to celebrate the release of his 13th children’s album, Jump for Joy! Catchy tunes and clever lyrics will have kids and parents singing and dancing along at this Saturday Family Concert. $5, free for kids. Doors open 30 min prior to show.
Fire Day at MOHAI Sun Oct. 1, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. MOHAI. FREE
Come try on gear, learn fire safety tips and tricks and even explore a working fire engine and fire boat. Co-presented with the Seattle Fire Department, kids can also explore hands-on artifacts and historic fire equipment, meet real fire fighters, take part in fun craft activities, and more. The Classic Workboat Show in Lake Union Park will be going on too, so be sure to visit the historic fire boat Duwamish, and other working vessels from across Puget Sound.
