Dia de Los Muertos Community Celebrations

Gather together as a community with Bainbridge Island Museum of Art for Día de los Muertos, a celebration that is memorable, beautiful, and deeply rooted in cultural significance.

The day begins with a procession of children dressed as butterflies. Visit the ofrenda, enjoy art activities, music, and face painting, or attend remembrance ceremonies at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. (free registration required). An additional ticketed ceremony begins at 5 p.m.

New this year, the 5-7:30 p.m. remembrance ceremony offers an intimate, candlelit evening experience inspired by cemetery traditions honored throughout Mexico, with food and drink available for purchase. Learn more about this Evening Celebration here.
