Everett Mayor’s Youth Council Seeks Members

Teens ages 14 to 18 are welcome to join the Everett Mayor's Youth Council for the 2012-2013 school year. The 2012-2013 season begins with a kick-off event from 3 to 4:30 p.m. on Monday Oct. 29. The event includes the annual historic tour and scavenger hunt at the Evergreen Cemetery.

The Mayor's Youth Council aims to provide a vital link among Everett's youth, the Everett community and the city's government. The Everett Mayor's Youth Council advises the Mayor on issues affecting youth in Everett and provides youth input on the Mayor's policies. The council is an opportunity for youth to talk about community, engage with city leaders and connect with their peers. The council gives youth a chance to interact with the community by planning and participating in work projects, volunteering at events and serving as role models for Everett youth.

For more information, or to RSVP to the event, contact Kate Reardon, youth council director, at kreardon@ci.everett.wa.us.
