Free Summer Museum Admission for Military Families

Through the Blue Star Museums program, an initiative of the National Endowment for the Arts, active duty military personnel and their families receive free admission to museums across America this summer, now through Labor Day (Sept. 5).

Local museums include: Seattle Art Museum, Wing Luke Museum of the Asian Pacific American Experience, Burke Museum of Natural History and Culture, Henry Art Gallery, Museum of History & Industry and The Museum of Flight in Seattle; the Children's Museum of Tacoma, Tacoma Art Museum and Museum of Glass in Tacoma; KidsQuest Children's Museum in Bellevue; and The Kids Discovery Museum on Bainbridge Island. The free admission program is available to active duty military and their immediate family members (military ID holder and five immediate family members). Active duty military include Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard and active duty National Guard and Reserve members. Some special or limited-time museum exhibits may not be included in this free admission program.
