Free Thanksgiving dinners for families in and around Seattle

For many Seattle-area families, community Thanksgiving dinners offer more than just a plate of food — they provide connection, comfort, and a welcoming place to spend the holiday. Whether cooking a big meal feels overwhelming this year, you’re looking for company, or you simply want to share Thanksgiving with neighbors, these free community gatherings make the day feel a little brighter.

Most events take place on Thanksgiving Day, with a few happening the weekend before. From sit-down meals with all the trimmings to potlucks and turkey giveaways, here’s where families can find free Thanksgiving dinners across Seattle, the Eastside, and beyond.

Seattle

Bread of Life Mission| November 27, 2025 | 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. | Bread of Life Mission | 206-682-3579 |They will serve a hot meal on Thanksgiving Day, including turkey, ham, stuffing, mashed potatoes, green beans, bread rolls, and pie. They will provide water and beverages.

Phinney Neighborhood Association | November 27, 2025 | 4 p.m. – 6 p.m. | PNA Phinney Center | 206-783-2244 | Join their annual Thanksgiving potluck meal. Free; please bring a dish to share (if you can). RSVP by calling 206-783-2244 or emailing PNA@phinneycenter.org.

The Alajawan Brown Foundation Family Thanksgiving Dinner | November 27, 2025 | 11 a.m. – 2 p.m | Talley High School | 425-208-6236 | Join the Alajawans family for a free Thanksgiving dinner at Albert Talley High School. They will offer fun games and activities to celebrate this day. Doors will open at 11 a.m. for a social hour and dinner will be served from noon until 2 p.m.

The Salvation Army – Greenwood | November 27, 2025 | 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. | Seattle Temple | 206-783-1225 | They will be offering a free Thanksgiving meal with all the classic Thanksgiving dishes and welcome everyone.

The Hall at Fauntleroy: Free Community Thanksgiving Dinner | November 27, 2025 | 12 p.m. – 3 p.m. | 9131 California Ave. SW | 28th Annual Free Thanksgiving with all the trimmings. All are welcome—no RSVP required.

Eastside

Eastridge Church| November 22, 2025 | 9 a.m. – while supplies last | Issaquah Campus of Eastridge Church | This Thanksgiving Eastridge Church will distribute 1,500 turkeys and bags of groceries to those in the community who need a little assistance to put a holiday meal on their table. On Saturday, November 22, beginning at 9 a.m. (while supplies last), the church will give away the 1,500 free Thanksgiving turkeys and bags of groceries to people in need at their two locations: Issaquah and Seattle. First-come, first-served, with no demonstration of need required to receive the assistance.

Holy Family Catholic Church, Kirkland| November 27, 2025 | Call parish for times | Holy Family Parish | 425-822-0295 | The 16th Annual Thanksgiving Community Meal will be held in the Social Hall and will serve drinks and a Thanksgiving meal. It serves the Eastside only.

The Salvation Army Eastside Corps Community Center, Bellevue| Date TBD | 911 164th Avenue NE, Bellevue | 425-452-7300 | Provides a free traditional Thanksgiving dinner for residents of East and North King County.

North of Seattle

Ronald United Methodist Church| November 27, 2025 | 4 p.m.-7 p.m. | Ronald United Methodist Church | 425-202-5962 | They will be offering a full sit-down Thanksgiving dinner with turkey, gravy, mashed potatoes, green beans, and vegetarian options as well.

Westgate Chapel Thanksgiving Dinner| November 27, 2025 | Seatings at 11 a.m., 1:30 p.m., and 3:30 p.m. | Westgate Chapel | 425-775-2776 |Free Family Thanksgiving Dinner with all the trimmings! They feed approximately 1200 people and volunteers with a beautiful “sit down” dinner complete with all the holiday trimmings. Everyone is invited free of charge. They will have a guest entertainer, numerous free activities, and family photo opportunities. There will be three dinner seating times, and the dining room is filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Seatings are at 11 a.m., 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. There are no reservations.

South of Seattle

Salvation Army Renton Corps | TBD | The annual Thanksgiving dinner will happen in 2025. Check back for more details as they decide on dates, times, and resources.
