Glow-in-the-dark greeting cards; Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella

Don't tell your family living in the Midwest or East Coast—it's another sunny, warm(ish) day in Seattle, with everything in bloom. While my in-laws on the East Coast are perched in their family room watching HGTV, we're especially thankful for the chance to get outdoors and explore.

If you're looking for something to do closer to sundown, SPL hosts a Cool Circuitry class from 4-6 pm today at the Douglass-Truth Branch. Kids can use tape, conductive paint, LEDS and thread to make their own light-up greeting card or bracelet. No registration is required for the free event.

Also, Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella comes to The Paramount at 7:30 p.m. tonight. The start time might put the performance more into date night than school night territory, but with nine Tony nominations the $25 to $80 per ticket musical sounds good enough to justify the late night and price tag.
