During Black History Month, Google.org and DonorsChoose.org are teaming up to pay for students in grades 6 to 12 to attend screenings of "Selma." Seattle and Kirkland teachers interested in organizing a class field trip to see the impactful film set during the Civil Rights Movement can sign up on the DonorsChoose website; tickets and transportation to a theater are offered at no cost.
A true story, "Selma" follows Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. during three months in 1965 as he worked to secure equal voting rights.
