We asked people to share how their families are coping with the coronavirus crisis: the school closures, social distancing, etc.
Annie Peddicord reached out with her family's story:
"I have a 9-year-old boy and 6-year-old girl and the first day that school was canceled, my husband, Adam, started a podcast with them (The Peddicords and the Pandemic).
"He interviews them for about 10 minutes each evening about what they did that day and how the virus affected their day. We're getting great feedback from friends so far, and have friends listening in from as far away as Germany and the UK. The kids love that they are connecting with other kids and it's a fun way for us to feel connected, too.
"We're still figuring it out … However, the feedback from friends so far has been really positive and we love the idea that we're able to reach out to people that we can't visit or even that we don't know but are feeling isolated, bored, confused, or scared. As unsettling as this whole thing is, we hope that if there is a silver lining to be found, it is that we are able to slow our busy lives and reconnect, even if it's not in person."
