Inclusive playspace Roo's World of Discovery opens in downtown Kirkland

Roo’s World of Discovery, a “Montessori-inspired” playspace,  opened last week in Kirkland. The inclusive playspace is tailored to kids from birth to five, and features eco-friendly toys; an open playspace; classes and workshops like breastfeeding support, infant massage, and storytime yoga; curated art projects; a sensory room for kids with autism or sensory processing issues; and a Cedarworks climbing structure.

Founder of Roo’s World of Discovery Michelle Landwehr says that the space was created with her three-year-old in mind, who has developmental delays and sensory issues; Roo’s World is a space where Landwehr hopes that kids of all abilities can play and get to know each other.
