Issaquah day trip, anyone?
We’re coming up on the last weekend for the Farm Fresh and Fresh Flower Markets in downtown Issaquah, and it’s also Keep Issaquah Beautiful Day (Saturday, April 24).
The Farm Fresh and Fresh Flower Markets run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Historic Shell Station, featuring local produce, flowers, honey and other products.
Also, Keep Issaquah Beautiful Day is a citywide clean up and beautification day from 9 a.m.-noon Saturday, April. 24. Rain or shine, individuals, families and groups are needed to help with trash pickup, vegetation maintenance and flower planting. Participants will be required to wear masks, maintain social distance, and are encouraged to bring their own work gloves.
If you haven’t been in a while, it’s worth a trip to just check out Issaquah. With its motto “Historically Hip Downtown Issaquah,” the city touts itself as “the bright arts and cultural beacon on the eastside of Seattle,” and “a hotspot for modern food and connecting with a local funky vibe.”
