Thirty-two nations are competing in Russia for the biggest prize in soccer – the FIFA World Cup. The USA is not in the tournament this year, but that doesn't mean you can't get caught up in the action. There are places around town well-suited for families to cheer on their favorite teams.
Everyone is welcome to rally outdoors at in Occidental Park (117 S Washington St) for showings of world cup games every day of the tournament. Here's the schedule.
The world cup final will be on a big screen 8 a.m. July 15 in Next 50 Plaza at Seattle Center, in an event hosted by Seattle Sounders FC. Don't expect to see a lot of players, because they are playing Atlanta United in Atlanta that day. You can see that game at 11 a.m. on the same screen. There will be a beer garden.
Try Arena Sports locations in Magnuson, SODO, Redmond or Issaquah if you want to have a pint while watching a match with your kids. Or, let them jump around in the Fun Zone inflatable playground during the game. Plus, there's a raffle.
