If you live near, or use, Ballard Playfield, take note:
Seattle Parks and Recreation will hold an information session from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday, August 23, to talk about proposed improvements to the facility. The meeting will be held at Ballard Community Center, 6020 28th Ave. N'W.
Plans include installing two baseball synthetic turf infields, replacing the field lighting system, improving access to meet the Americans with Disabilities Act, and other enhancements to the heavily used park at 2644 N.W. 60th St. Full details on the project can be found on the parks department's website.
For questions about the project or if you need an interpreter or other accommodations, contact Libby Hudson at the parks department, 206-256-5988 or Libby.hudson@seattle.gov.
