If your child loves airplanes, you won’t want to miss the 17th annual Paine Field Aviation Day on Saturday, May 19, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. This event is open to the public, with lots of fun, food and activities to engage local kids.
Admission to the event is $5 for an individual and $10 for a family, which includes admission to the flying heritage collection and historic flight foundation. In honor of the 70th anniversary of the Doolittle Raid, plans are underway for up to five B-25’s to be on display and flying.
There will be free “young eagles flights” for kids ages 8 to 17, a pancake breakfast benefiting the Northwest Burn Foundation, musical entertainment The Tempos, aircraft displays, scenic helicopter and biplane flights (additional cost), great food, vendors and kids’ activities.
The Snohomish County Airport Paine Field is located at 3220 100th St. S.W. in Everett. To learn more about this event, visit www.wpaflys.org/Chapters/Paine/ga_day.htm.
