Lowland when the flakes start falling look no further than a neighborhood park for an easy and affordable lowland sledding adventure. Several throughout Seattle and the Eastside, while not officially groomed for winter recreation, offer wide open spaces with sloping hills that become a winter wonderland on a snowy day.
Bonus: There’s no need to worry about keeping an eye out for cars coming and going, like you would on your own residential streets.
With some crowd-sourcing and local Parks and Recreation recommendations, here’s a list for the next time there’s a fluffy coating of snow in the lowlands.
Grab your sled, have fun and enjoy some hot cocoa when you get back home.
