The Children’s Film Festival Seattle kicks off the festival on Friday, February 3rd with a special and exciting event, the screening of the film “Missing Link” from the world-famous animation studio LAIKA (located outside Portland) which is behind the success of “Coraline” and “Kubo and the Two Strings”.
“Missing Link” tells the story of Sir Lionel Frost (voiced by Hugh Jackman), a brave and dashing adventurer who considers himself to be the world’s foremost investigator of myths and monsters. The trouble is, no one else seems to agree.
The film will be followed by an in-depth Q&A with the writer-director Christ Butler and Head of Practical Effect Oliver Jones about the making of the film. The event is in-person only and fit for all ages!
The opening night showing of “Missing Links” is in-person only at Northwest Film Forum on Capitol Hill in Seattle.
The renowned Children’s Film Festival Seattle is the West Coast’s largest film festival for children and families and shows over 190 films a year.
The Festival runs Feb 3 – 12 and is offering virtual, in-person, and “hybrid” passes. Virtual, in-person, and hybrid tickets and passes are on sale now.
