No clowning around: Seattle nonprofit brings music, art and magic to Children's Hospital patients

Professional clowns making hospital rounds? It’s no joke.

Professional clowns making hospital rounds? It’s no joke. These capering comics dispense music, art and magic to ease stress and loneliness for Seattle Children’s Hospital patients and their families.

Help support the nonprofit Room Service Medical Clowning with the Send In the Clowns 5K and Kids’ Dash on Sept. 19 at Magnuson Park. Don your multicolored wig, red nose and lace up the oversized shoes. You don’t have to be fast or funny to know that this is a great cause to support. After all, laughter is the best medicine. clowns5k.org
