Online toy swap? Why not?!
Like seemingly everything else, the annual Toy Swap from the Mercer Island Preschool Association (MIPA) has become a virtual event. Looking on the bright side: It’s so much easier for us non-Islanders to participate in the online toy swap!
The online toy swap begins at 9 a.m. Saturday (Nov. 14) and prices go to half-off at 4 p.m. and continuing through midnight. Purchases must be completed and paid online, and after that, arrangements will be made for no-contact pickup.
Organizers call it “THE kid sale of the year,” with kids’ books, gear, toys, games, outerwear, sports gear, and more — in good condition but at garage-sale prices.
Get “sneak peeks” at some sale items on MIPA’s Facebook page. (Oh, that pink toy kitchen! If only I had a toddler and not a teenager.)
There will be everything from boots to bikes to books, plus some bigger necessities like strollers, porta-cribs and potties.
Proceeds will help MIPA continue to support the Mercer Island community with donations of funds, contributions to park projects and more.
Here’s what the event looked like in real life. This year, it’s online!
