A run in Seward Park followed by luscious treats and fuzzy animals for a great cause? Yes, please. On November 11, take a stroll or run full speed in the Petting Zoo and Pastry 5k. Choose from a 5- or 10k course. Kids can get in on the action too with a fun run, or in strollers on the longer courses.

After the hard work is over, eat maple bars, almond croissants and other delights from Sod House Bakery and Top Pot Doughnuts. Also, meet exotic and native animals including rabbits, chickens, guinea pigs, and other critters from Old McDebbie’s Farm. Dogs are welcome in the race, but not in the petting zoo area.

All of the proceeds from this event will be donated to Planned Parenthood. The organizers have also made sure all of the bits and pieces that come with the event are recyclable or compostable, so you can run, munch, and pet guilt-free.
