With tulips in full bloom and the promise of warmer days, Puyallup is buzzing with excitement for the final weekend of the Washington State Spring Fair, April 17-20, 2025! Don’t miss your last opportunity to enjoy all the festivities. Here are some tips to help you make the most of your visit.
Kid activities and rides
No visit to the Fair is complete without a stop in Sillyville and Thrillville for rides and games. From roller coasters to slides, the ferris wheel, carousel and more, there is something for every person in the family. Our 5-year-old highly recommends the Dragon Wagon roller coaster. Young families will also find plenty to do at the nearby Farm at Sillyville. Children can milk a pretend cow, make flour and more. Plus there are chicks and a playground and next door at Tractor Tracts there are tractor bikes for the kids to ride.
For an indoor activity, head to the Wheels on the Farm area. Here, you can view a large collection of tractors while young children enjoy pedaling toy tractors through a straw bale course or playing in the pea gravel area filled with toy tractors.
Animals
New this year is the Goat Playground. Make a stop in the barn area to see goats playing and my favorite, the two adorable kid goats. While you’re in the area, stop in the other barns to see chickens, horses, sheep, goats and more.
Across the way, you’ll find the Fair Farm where you can pet bunnies, goats, chicks and other animals. You can also view reptiles at Brad’s World of Reptiles.

Special events (extra $)
- Expedition Dinosaur – Rise of the Mammals. This is a can’t miss stop for any dinosaur lover. Visit animatronic dinosaurs and mammals, dig for dinosaurs and explore the prehistoric past.
- Motorsport Mayhem. A three-day series of demolition derby is happening this weekend featuring monster trucks, car drifting, and smashing cars and boats. If you can’t get enough of the monster trucks you can also pay to go on a ride.
KidZone
The weather is unpredictable this time of the year, so if you need a break from the rain go to the KidZone, located near the Gold Gate. Here you can plant seeds with the Master Gardeners (ours already sprouted!), make crafts, create lego creations, do puzzles and view the Art Gallery.
Food
Whatever your taste buds are calling for, the Fair likely has it covered. While the legendary Fisher Fair Scone is a must-try, you’ll also discover an array of options, from burgers and BBQ to tacos and elephant ears. For those who prefer their own food, bringing outside food and drinks is also permitted.
