T-Mobile New Year’s Eve at the Needle
If you’ve got older kids (or ones that like to stay up really really late), celebrations at Seattle Center might be an event for your family. At the Armory and above the Space Needle, watch the skies for fireworks, lights and a drone display! Want to stay out of the cold, watch the celebration on TV on KING 5.

New Year’s Eve at KidsQuest
Join the staff at KidsQuest Museum in Bellevue for an all-day celebration to ring in 2024! Various activities will happen every hour. Face painting, storytime, and some bubble-popping action! Tickets are required, and families can reserve times at 10 a.m., noon, 2 p.m., or 4 p.m. to celebrate.

Rockin’ Rockfish Noon Year’s Eve
Join in on this free event from the comfort of your own home! Join the dance party with music from Mikey the Rad Scientist, and get ready to ring in the noon year! Register online to get the YouTube link or if you’re headed to the Aquarium, don’t miss the in-person watch party. Meet the animals, learn some interesting facts and more! Admission to the watch party is included with museum admission. If you want to celebrate in person, you can watch party at the Seattle Aquarium as an addition to your admission. Fossil Finders: It’s about time! New Year’s Eve Party
Enjoy fossilized fun at five drop-in stations for young learners ages 3–8. Hold fossils and casts at the touch table, make scientific discoveries in the dig pit, create a craft to take home, and collect a new stamp each month in your Fossil Finders Passport. Join the Museum’s Noon Year’s Eve countdown and dino dance party too. Admission to this event is included in the price of museum admission.

Burning Boat Festival, Des Moines
The Des Moines Burning Boat Festival will be held at the Des Moines Beach Park on New Year’s Eve, 2023. It is a fundraiser to raise money to help students of the Highline School District who are experiencing homelessness. This family-friendly event will include fire pits, hot cocoa and more. Attendees will be asked to write down a wish, or a goal or something they want to let go of. These notes will be tossed into a special boat built by students at Maritime High School and set ablaze at midnight to ring in the New Year.
