Seattle New Year’s Eve at the Space Needle
If you’ve got older kids (or ones that like to stay up really really late), celebrations at the Space Needle might be an event for your family. At the base of the Needle, watch the skies for fireworks, lights and a drone display! Want to stay out of the cold, watch the celebration on tv on KING 5.

New Year’s Eve at KidsQuest
Join the staff at KidsQuest Museum in Bellevue for an all-day celebration to ring in 2023! Various activities will happen every hour. Face painting, story time, and some popping action! Tickets are required, and families can reserve times at 10 a.m., noon, 2 p.m., or 4 p.m. to celebrate.

Join in on this free virtual event from the comfort of your own home! Hosted by Diana Cardiff with music from Mikey the Rad Scientist, kids will learn some interesting facts about the animals at the Seattle Aquarium, dance to some music and ring in the noon year! Burning Boat Festival, Des Moines

Time: 6 p.m.-midnight
The First Annual Des Moines Burning Boat Festival will be held at the Des Moines Beach Park on New Year’s Eve, 2022. It is a fundraiser to raise money to help with mental health services and substance use disorder treatment. This family-friendly event will include fire pits, hot cocoa and more. Attendees will be asked to write down a wish, or a goal or something they want to let go of. These notes will be tossed into a special boat being built by students at Maritime High School and set ablaze at midnight to ring in the New Year.
