If you think your kid squirms during a haircut, wait till you see what shearing a sheep is like! Kelsey Creek Farm in Bellevue is turning sheep shearing into a party, complete with pony rides, food, demonstrations, kids’ activities and more. Most of it is free, but food and some activities will be cash-only, so come prepared.
The National Film Festival for Talented Youth (a.k.a. NFFTY) is going on this weekend. Today at 11:30 a.m. is their Bring the Kids event, featuring family-friendly short films made by filmmakers ages 24 and younger. Three of the films being shown today were done by young Washingtonians! The showing is at the SIFF Cinema Uptown on lower Queen Anne, and tickets are $10 to $11.
