Spring break fun blooms at Seattle Public Library

The Bureau of Fearless Ideas will partner with SPL

After a long, cold winter, don’t keep them cooped up at home during spring break. The Seattle Public Library has planned pop-up writing events with The Bureau of Fearless Ideas  as well as celebratory crafts, games, movies, and more during Seattle Public Schools’ spring break from Monday, April 14 to Friday, April 18.

All library events are free and open to the public. Seattle Public Library spring break events that require registration are highlighted below. Find more events, including story times, on SPL’s Kids & Families calendar.

Events for kids, teens and families

Of course, using good old library services are also a great way for kids to spend a portion their free time. The Seattle Public Library has 27 locations where kids can explore the books and toys in the children’s sections, use services such as free printing, check out new books and get help from staff.

The library also now has sensory kits for in-library use that include items such as fidget toys, LCD tablets and sensory-minimization tools to make the library more welcoming and accessible.
