Kami and her family became involved in ECEAP a few years ago with her oldest child. At that time Kami was recovering from previous trauma. Since then Kami had grown in leaps and bounds. Kami started college this fall and is a classified substitute for the Central Valley School district. She is a loving mother of 2 children and a dedicated wife. She regularly volunteers in her childrens’ classrooms and helps with school activities.
Kami has a great knowledge of local and state resources. This often comes in handy when she engages with other parents in the ECEAP program. Kami has shown the ability not only within herself, but also within the community to advocate for children's growth and development. Since becoming an ECEAP parent, she has been actively engaged with WSA as a parent ambassador. She has gone to Olympia and Washington, D. C. to advocate for early education. She has a passion for not only supporting her local early childhood education programs but continuing to grow early education throughout the state and country.
